🇸🇮 Taking things slo

Hey Snackers,

Airports aren’t exactly the most hassle-free havens on earth, with endless lines, regular delays, and ever-changing baggage regulations, but some are objectively more taxing than others. The bad news for frequent Dallas/Fort Worth flyers? Their airport of choice might just be the most stressful in the US, according to a new analysis from Rightway Parking.

The online parking reservation site assessed American airports on five factors (delay rate, cancellation rate, how delays have worsened since 2021, and distance and travel time from downtown) and found the Texas travel hub to be the most stress-inducing, with O’Hare International not far behind.

Stocks fell on Thursday as crude oil prices rose and chipmakers fell after the Financial Times reported that OpenAI’s revenue is around $20 billion less than previously indicated.

President Trump’s “super intelligence” push has boosted domain registrations in this small nation in Central Europe

Not only is the leader of the free world’s new artificial intelligence rebrand taking off with the world’s richest man, after Elon Musk announced he’d rename the SpaceX artificial intelligence division SpaceXSI last weekend, it’s also causing an explosion of registrations for the domain typically associated with sites in Slovenia.

Like Anguilla before it, thanks to its .ai domain, the European nation of around 2.1 million people now finds itself with a small role in the unending conversation around artificial, or super, intelligence. A spokesperson for Registry.si — the organization responsible for providing domain registrations and ensuring online services under the Slovenian national domain run smoothly — told the BBC that the demand for .si addresses was “unprecedented” toward the end of September, after President Trump pressed ahead with the idea of switching the “A” out of “AI.”

According to data from registration tracker Domain Name Stat, the Registry.si representative has a point.

Over the last seven days, there have been some 63,000 new .si domain registrations, as hype around the idea of super intelligence spreads beyond Washington documents and billionaire boardrooms. To put that in perspective, there were just over 50,000 registrations from the start of 2024 to the beginning of 2026.

The Takeaway

It’s still too early to predict just how far “the new world of super intelligence,” as the president put it when he first posited the term at the UN General Assembly last month, will catch on as a term. However, if founders looking to pivot to “SI” or online entrepreneurs hoping to flip domains for profit keep buying up the .si addresses, the Slovenian government could enjoy a potential windfall, with Anguilla making at least ~$70 million from AI domain registrations last year, per our previous calculations.

Amazon is reportedly paying $15 million a year to bring the Emmys to Prime Video. Why it wants them is another matter entirely.

The biggest awards in television will no longer be on television from 2027 onward, after Amazon announced that it’s signed a six-year deal to make Prime Video the new and exclusive home of the annual Emmy awards.

The company revealed that viewers will be able to stream the ceremony live without a subscription, in another sign that network television may no longer be the natural home for awards shows, after last year’s announcement that the Oscars will be moving to YouTube from 2029.

With waning viewership and signs that online buzz around the Emmys might also be waning — YouTube search interest has roughly halved from its peak in 2013 —, quite why Amazon wants the once must-watch and now might-watch TV awards show isn’t all that clear.
