Constellation Energy tumbles despite big earnings
Constellation Energy, one of the utility stocks that has soared this year amid excitement over power demand from AI data centers, posted strong Q3 results Monday, beating analyst bogeys for the top and bottom lines. But the stock was battered along with other utilities, after US nuclear regulators blocked a rival’s deal to link a nuclear power plant to an Amazon data center, throwing uncertainty over Constellation’s plans to restart Three Mile Island in order to supply Microsoft data centers.
