Apple is hoping its “LLM Siri” will finally be a smart assistant
Smart assistants have long seemed kind of dumb — and even less smart than they used to be.
Apple is hoping by incorporating artificial intelligence, its smart assistant will become better at conversation and figuring out what people actually want from it. It’s not the only one: Amazon is also trying to beef up Alexa with large language models. (It’s not going great.)
So far that’s resulted in a slower assistant with subpar results and lots of delays. And you’ll have to wait for this “LLM Siri,” too — the rollout isn’t until 2026.
