SpaceX and Neuralink could be on the hook for X fines
It’s no secret that X’s sales aren’t looking so hot. Ad revenue has been dropping and the company is struggling to grow its premium-subscription business. Perhaps that’s why the EU is considering factoring in revenue from Elon Musk’s other private companies, including SpaceX, Neuralink, xAI, and The Boring Company, when calculating X’s fines for violating the Digital Services Act, Bloomberg reports.
European regulators could fine the companies up to 6% of global annual revenue in connection with failing to take down illegal content, among other charges. Tesla, as a public company not fully under Musk’s control, would not be targeted in this plan.
