Tesla sales are dropping around the world except for a couple of bright-ish spots
New car sales reports coming in from around the world aren’t looking so hot for Tesla, which had promised a “return to growth” in 2025 after a sales decline in 2024. Two months in, that goal isn’t looking very likely.
February sales were down substantially in a number of countries across Europe, in China, and now in Australia. Sales were up in the UK in February, as well as in the US, where they jumped 14% year on year after falling about as much a month earlier.
While sales can be pretty volatile month to month — especially in the short month of February — things aren’t shaping up that well for the first quarter, either.
Goldman Sachs recently lowered its expectations for Q1 Tesla deliveries to about 50,000 fewer than consensus estimates, citing the changeover to the new Model Y and weaker demand.
