The Japanese canine with a “much wow!” face has “crossed the rainbow bridge” according to an Instagram post from her owner, Atsuko Sato.
Fans of the cryptocurrency and the dog encouraged people to “buy one Dogecoin” in Kabosu’s honor, and the coin spiked in price nearly 5% after the news broke, then whipsawed through the five stages of memecoin grief to settle at roughly 3% up as of writing.
