Trump VP pick J.D. Vance said he had more than $100K in bitcoin

J.D. Vance is a bitcoiner.

That's according to financial disclosures made by former President Donald Trump's newly announced running mate. Fortune reports that last year the Ohio Senator said he owned between $100,000 and $250,000 worth of BTC.

The price of bitcoin jumped on Monday evening following the announcement of Vance as the VP pick.

Trump has embraced crypto as a campaign issue, and in May his campaign said it would accept crypto donations.
