While Adam Sandler’s oeuvre may not be for everyone and regularly divides critics and audiences, there’s no denying the immense commercial power of the former SNL star.
Indeed, the Sandman beat out megastars like Margot Robbie, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Tom Cruise to top Forbes’s highest-paid actors of 2023 list, bagging a staggering $73 million ($97 million gross) last year.
Most of that came from Sandler’s stand up tour and lucrative Netflix deal, which saw him produce and star in 3 films for the streamer last year, including Murder Mystery 2, which amassed 173 million watch hours in the first half of 2023 alone.
