BlackBerry hits multiyear high amid cyber-safety successes

BlackBerry spiked as much as 5.8% on Wednesday, propelling shares of the one-time mobile-phone giant turned cybersecurity firm to their highest level since December 2023.
Options activity is overwhelmingly skewed toward calls — already more than twice as many of these bullish contracts have changed hands compared to Tuesday’s session.
The company, based in Waterloo, Ontario, says it prevented 600,000 cyberattacks in a three-month span last year, according a press release from earlier today touting the publication of its Global Threat Intelligence Report.
