Stocks surge on report that Trump plans to rescind Biden’s chip export curbs
US stocks exploded higher late in the session Wednesday after Bloomberg reported that President Donald Trump plans to eliminate export curbs on semiconductors put in place by the Biden administration.
Nvidia, among the biggest beneficiaries of this tweak, went from roughly flat to up as much 3.6% after this news hit the wires.
CEO Jensen Huang had been campaigning for looser rules on chip exports.
