Not only is hybrid work more attractive than in-office labor, employees are willing to put a significant price on it.
Being able to work from home two or three days a week is worth the equivalent of a 7.6% raise for those who’ve ever been able to do so, according to new data from WFH Research, which has been conducting a huge, long-running survey on remote work. In other words, workers who have worked from home at all say they’d require nearly 8% more in salary to go into the office full-time. They also said they would accept a 4% pay cut to keep their hybrid work arrangements (losing money is typically a more painful scenario than gaining).
Among workers who currently enjoy a hybrid or remote situation, the numbers are even more dramatic. For them, they’d need a nearly 10% raise to stop working from home or would accept a 4.4% pay cut to keep the arrangement.
