Tesla shareholders are so far approving Elon Musk’s unprecedented pay package
It looks like Elon Musk is on track for a big payday, according to Elon Musk.
A tweet by the Technoking of Tesla shows that shareholder votes in favor of his roughly $46 billion compensation package are ahead by a “wide margin” as of Wednesday evening. Votes for reincorporating the company in Texas also appear to have surpassed the necessary threshold, per Musk’s charts.
Both Tesla shareholder resolutions are currently passing by wide margins!

A judge had previously voided Musk’s record pay package, so this vote is considered a referendum on Musk’s leadership. Of course, even if they pay package passes, Bloomberg reports it “has no direct impact on the legal dispute over the 2018 compensation package.”
Shareholders can change their votes up until their meeting this afternoon, when final results will be announced.
