More CEOs are getting $50M+ pay packages thanks to Elon Musk
Billionaire CEO Elon Musk is helping those less fortunate than him: other very rich CEOs. According to a Wall Street Journal analysis of MyLogIQ data, in the last five years three dozen S&P 500 CEOS have received pay packages of $50 million or more, up from nine in the previous five years.
The Journal attributes the growth in supersized pay packages partly to the Tesla CEO’s record-breaking 2018 multibillion-dollar pay package. Earlier this year a judge struck down that pay package, but the company is bringing it to another vote at its annual shareholder meeting next month.
This proposal is definitely something Tesla really wants and Musk definitely didn’t make them say that!
The Tesla team put this together of their own volition (I did not ask for it). Thanks! https://t.co/8VRNhwmMxm
