More than 8,000 US government web pages across more than a dozen federal websites have been removed since Friday, analysis conducted by The New York Times has found.
As agencies scramble to remove references to DEI initiatives and “gender ideology” under executive orders from the Trump administration, information about “vaccines, veterans’ care, hate crimes, and scientific research” has also been removed. The Times reported that more than 3,000 pages from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention — including research papers on chronic diseases and Alzheimer’s — were among those culled, as well as over 3,000 pages from the Census Bureau.
