Rival EV makers like Lucid and Polestar are trying to court disgruntled Tesla owners

Competing electric vehicle makers are trying to capitalize on the public’s sinking approval of Tesla and CEO Elon Musk to steal his customers.

“You have a choice,” reads a recent Lucid ad that specifically offers Tesla owners “looking to elevate their driving experience” a $4,000 trade-in discount on the purchase or lease of a 2025 Lucid Air. Polestar, meanwhile, is offering Tesla owners $5 off the lease of a new Polestar 3.

Tesla’s stock has dropped nearly 40% this year and the EV company is struggling to grow sales thanks to numerous headwinds, including increased competition, decreased demand, and annoyance at its CEO’s forays into the government.

Considering that Telsa prices are falling faster than regular EVs, these might be the deals Tesla owners need.
