TikTok is back and it’s at the top of the Apple App Store
Nearly a month after President Trump delayed the TikTok ban, the short-form video app is finally back on Google and Apple’s app stores, Bloomberg reports. And it’s already the most-downloaded free app on Apple. It isn’t yet ranking on Google Play.
The move comes after written assurances from US Attorney General Pam Bondi that the companies wouldn’t get in trouble for doing so.
After Trump initially delayed the ban, giving the Chinese company 75 days to find a US buyer, existing TikTok users were able to continue using the app, but new users could no longer download it from American app stores.
Competitors Meta and Snap are trading modestly to the downside in the premarket.
