Sober young adults boost Athletic Brewing to $800 million valuation

Athletic Brewing, the nonalcoholic beer brand, is now valued at roughly $800 million, or double what it was worth two years ago, sources told the Wall Street Journal.

Athletic’s success rides off the fact that young adults in the US are drinking less (and consuming more cannabis) than their predecessors.

As more young people identify as “sober curious” or participate in Dry January, companies that sell booze have rolled out non-alcoholic products and bars have mastered the mocktail.

Athletic, however, stands out for only producing non-alcoholic brews and its impressive growth rate. The company told WSJ it sold more than 258,000 barrels of beer last year and plans to use its new funding to double its brewing capacity.

US plane maker Boeing delivered 44 jets in November, marking a 17% dip from October but a drastic recovery from its 13 deliveries in the same month last year amid its machinists’ strike.

Boeing, which closed its $4.7 billion acquisition of key supplier Spirit AeroSystems on Monday, has delivered 537 jets year to date in 2025, significantly ahead of the 348 it delivered last year. Earlier this month, the company said its recovery was “in full force” and it expects positive free cash flow in 2026.

European rival Airbus expanded its annual delivery lead in the month, handing 72 jets over to customers. The manufacturer has made 657 deliveries on the year so far, but recently cut its annual delivery target to 790 from 820 due to quality issues.
