Nvidia overtakes Apple to once again become the most valuable US company
Nvidia has reclaimed its position as the most valuable US company by market capitalization.
The chip designer powering the AI boom gained 2.9% on the session, compared to an advance of 0.7% for Apple. That gap allowed its market cap to climb past $3.43 trillion versus $3.36 trillion for the iPhone maker. While the price is below its October 21 peak, that still puts Nvidia ahead of Apple.
The so-called Bo Jackson of the stock market (it’s us, we call it that) for its eye-popping revenue growth and high margins has enjoyed renewed enthusiasm from retail traders on its march back to the top spot.
