Facebook is trying to lure in the youngs with old stuff
Facebook told Axios it’s starting to make progress luring back the young users who’ve seemingly vacated the platform.
The company shared that it had 40 million daily active users aged 18-29 in the US but didn’t give updated numbers on total daily active users, so it’s hard to say.
To draw in young people, it’s out with the old (news, audio ick!) and in with the...old: Marketplace, dating, events, Reels.
The company is also telling, not showing. At an event for young creators last week, your mom’s social media platform was handing out pamphlets (pamphlets!) saying, "We are not your mom's Facebook.”
