Boeing on Tuesday announced that it delivered 150 commercial planes in the second quarter, bringing its first-half total to 280 — 68 planes shy of its annual total last year. Though the H1 figure is still below the 306 commercial deliveries reported by Airbus, it does mark another milestone in Boeing closing the gap.

In six months, Boeing deliveries have grown 60% year over year, keeping up with the recovery pace it set in the first quarter. Airbus’ have dropped by about 6%. By H1 last year, Boeing had delivered 175 planes to Airbus’ 323.
