ChargePoint and GM building hundreds of “ultra-fast” universal EV chargers

A cloud of uncertainty hangs over the EV world as the industry waits to see what incentives and programs the incoming Trump administration might roll back. American carmakers like Ford and GM have pulled back from their EV plans, while consumers hold off making the switch to electric as they wait for EV charging infrastructure to improve.

But in a rare bit of good news for EV owners, ChargePoint and GM are teaming up to install up to 500 fast-charging stations using ChargePoint’s “Omni Port system, which works with both Tesla and other manufacturers’ EV models (CCS or NACS ports).
