Black Friday deals give consumers another reason to pause and hop around

Streaming services — even ones with ads — have been getting more expensive. They’re also more likely to be offering Black Friday discounts, Bloomberg reported, and more consumers are taking advantage of those.

Streaming-service sign-ups for Black Friday promotions grew 82% from 2022 to 2023, as consumers increasingly paused their subs and hopped around in order to deal with the rising expense.

This year, Disney’s Hulu and Disney+, Warner Bros.’ Max, Paramount Global’s Paramount+, and Comcast’s Peacock are offering discounts.
